DECATUR TX CLASS
JUNE 2-5 (Monday thru Thursday) 9AM-5PM CHELSY STEWART INSTRUCTOR. My name is Chelsy Stewart. My love of horses started at a very young age in Idaho. My mom always had horses and from the time I was old enough to hold on we would go riding. As I grew I started in the local 4-h club. I loved 4-h but I really found out that I enjoyed going a little faster and started down the Jr. rodeo road. Coming from a small town in Idaho I learned that having fit horses helped set me apart. I didn't have an arena but I did have long trails and lots of time riding to the local arena to practice. High school rodeo treated me very well with district 2 all around championships my Jr and Sr year. I had very nice horses that were special and very different. All of which I had trained mostly on my own. I loved spending most of my spare time still riding and practicing. Those horses took me to college and we continued to evolve making it to the CNFR in the breakaway the three years I was at college. Fast forward to 2018 my husband and I packed up and moved to Wickenburg Az. I decided to take a chance and take an equine massage course. If I'd of guessed where an equine massage class would get me I'd of told people they were crazy. I was tired of paying people to work on my horses and decided to take matters into my own hands. Best choice I could have made. I wasn't looking to make a career out of it. I just wanted to help my own horses. I happened to mention at work one day I was starting to do equine massage and someone heard me. They asked if I could come look at their horse. My first client! I love helping the horses but it's also very rewarding seeing people's reaction to getting their horses some relief from pain and discomfort. We now call Decatur Texas home. In 2023 I went ahead crested Iron Horse Massage LLC . We are in the middle of everything equine and we love it. I'm excited to grow my massage business and start this teaching adventure with MNHA. |
