Starting in 1997, Beverly began working with Dr Mark Haverkos, apprenticing and assisting him on calls. He is a Founder and Elder of the AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association). Since that time, I have been working on horses with Massage therapy and creating Rehab Strategies™ and Under Saddle Therapy™ to help the horses to ReConnect, ReBalance and ReBuild. This is the Amassage Method™ that I teach. I started teaching in 2006, at the request of Dr Haverkos, after him seeing the work I was doing and knowing that I was able to help horses when others couldn't.
In 2008, I had the privilege of meeting Dr Nancy Nicholson, author of 'Biomechanics for the Dressage Horse and Rider', She was a client of mine, for several years, we worked in clinics together, and she taught me about Biomechanics of the horse, which I pass along to my students. Biomechanics is very important to know, especially when you are working on Rehab Strategies™, if you don't know if the horse is walking, trotting, or cantering correctly, then you don't know if they are building correct muscles. They must move correctly before building. One of her many images below

Quote from Megan:
“From what I see of the MNHA curriculum, I’m impressed by the holistic approach, the inclusion of the vital role that correct biomechanics and riding play, and for Level 3, the fact that many professionals are involved in sharing their expertise with students. Sounds like a great program!”

I will be working with Ida Hammer of Mackinaw Dells, for more training and information on the hoof. As we have all heard before 'no hoof no horse'. Unbalanced hoofs can contribute to the entire body being unbalanced. Ida has some great classes, starting with a basic knowledge of the hoof, and she travels around so it will be easy for my graduates to learn from her.
